Remove my contact details

Boardwalk builds a record of development activity from documents that cities and counties publish — agendas, staff reports and meeting minutes. Those documents sometimes name people. If that includes you and you would rather we did not distribute your contact details, ask us and we will stop.

What we will do

  • Add you to our suppression list, which removes your email address, phone number and professional profile links from every Boardwalk surface — the web app, CSV exports, the API and any AI client connected to it.
  • Apply it for every customer, not just the one who found you, and keep it applied. It is not a per-account preference.
  • Stop looking your contact details up again.

What we will not do, and why

We will not remove the underlying public record. If a city approved a project and its minutes name the applicant, that is a public document published by a government body, and Boardwalk describing it does not change that. What we control is whether we distribute your contact details alongside it, and that is what we suppress.

Some contact details in Boardwalk come from the filing itself — an applicant's email printed in a staff report, for instance. Suppression removes those from our surfaces too. It does not remove them from the government's own published copy of the document, which we do not host.

Government staff

If you are a planner, clerk, commissioner or other public official, Boardwalk already never distributes your contact details, on any plan. Your name, title and organisation appear because they are on the public record; your email and phone number do not appear at all, and there is no tier that unlocks them.

How to ask

Email support@boardwalkai.com with the subject Contact opt-out request, and include:

  • your full name as it appears in the record;
  • the email address, phone number or profile link you want suppressed;
  • a link to a Boardwalk project where you saw it, if you have one — it makes this much faster, but it is not required.

We will confirm by email when the suppression is in place. You do not need a Boardwalk account, and there is no charge.
